Kessler Rehabilitation Center Joins Trust Practices Network

Every day, traditional authority figures like health care providers compete with less credible sources of information that are growing in popularity, negatively affecting patients and health care.

That’s why Kessler Rehabilitation Center is participating in the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Foundation’s Building Trust initiative and its Trust Practices Network. Health care organizations and stakeholders must work together to identify, share and implement approaches to bolster trust among health care providers, patients, government and others. It is the first step toward ensuring our health care system can meet the needs of everyone in our community.

As a member of the ABIM Foundation’s Trust Practices Network, we submitted a best practice to build trust in health care: the implementation of our telerehab platform that provides personal, multidisciplinary rehabilitation to our patients in their homes. If patients are limited by travel, injury or a weakened immune system, we bring our services to them to heal and build strength, virtually. Telerehab sessions are delivered one-on-one in real-time. They are private, secure and adhere to HIPAA requirements.
